CELEBRATE FREE COMIC BOOK DAY WITH BRIDGE CITY COMICS ON SATURDAY, MAY 1!
Bridge City Comics in Portland, OR is one of thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating the comic book art form on Saturday, May 1. On Free Comic Book Day, close to 2 million comic books will be given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the wonders of comic books!
"The wide array of comic books being published today ensures that readers of all ages - children, teens, and adults - can find something appropriate that will stir their imaginations," said Michael Ring, owner of Bridge City Comics. "Come by on May 1st and let us show you what's out there - for free!"
In addition to dozens of free comics available during the day, Bridge City Comics will also host autograph signings from two Portland locals! Will Redwood (artist and writer of A Bird's Song) and illustrator Andy Lunday will be signing copies of their works and talking comics during the day. Redwood will be signing starting at 11am and Lunday will start his signing at noon.
Also, Bridge City Comics will be having a special sale on select trade paperbacks and hard covers!
